First cold and more

Jackson had his first little cold this weekend. Thursday night he had coughed a few times but it didn't wake him up or anything, the next morning he was coughing quite a bit.  While he was still in very good spirits and being his happy self, it was so sad to hear him cough the way he was, it sounded painful. He also had some really watery eyes but it wasn't until a day or two later when the snot came. It really wasn't that bad though, he HATES having his nose cleaned but if we cleaned his nose in the morning and at night things stayed pretty clear. As far as colds go, this one wasn't so bad. He still slept great, and was pretty happy but as you can see from the first photo below, he was a little more tired and sleepy then usual.

Jackson will be 4 months old on Sunday and we have his 4 month check up and shots on the 6th. Here are some photos from the last few weeks!

First cold, such a trooper

Wearing his favorite jacket. :-)
Jackson is blessed with quite a few quilts, a few of them are really bright and he loves to look at all the colors, and tries to pick up the animals and things printed on the fabric. This quilt was made by Marty's Aunt Wendy.
Jackson loves hugs. :-)

More of Jack @ 3 months

Dino-Pirate Pj's!

Soon after I found out we were having a boy, I was out shopping with my mom and found these pajamas. I HAD to get them because they were two of Marty's favorite things as a kid AND now- Dinosaurs and Pajamas. We were awaiting the day Jackson finally fit into them and the day has come!

Connie Firestone

Connie passed away around 11:30am today and will be greatly missed.

I am still in complete shock and I don't think I realize that I wont see Connie on earth again. I feel like if I visit my home church again she will push her way past everyone to be the first to give me a great big hug, like she always did.

Connie was such a special lady. I chose the photo before because she is wearing an Amor Ministries T shirt. We all got this shirt when we did our Mexico trip back in 2001 I believe. Some of my greatest memories with Connie were on the Mexico trips. I will never forget our in and out burger adventures, jumping on hotel beds, laughing louder then anyone else in our group, deep conversations, and she was a pro at putting up with my crazy sense of humor. Good times.

Connie was completely in love with God and IS in a better place. She will be missed by so many  people. While we have suffered a great loss, she has gained Heaven and we will meet again one day, I am sure of it.

Please continue to pray for Connie's family as her passing if VERY sudden and unexpected.

3 Months Old!

We can hardly believe that our sweet little man is 3 months old already. Jackson has been such a wonderful baby and addition to our family, we can't imagine our lives without him!

Jackson now weighs over 15 pounds and is quite the happy kid as you can see in the photos below. Jackson makes us proud everyday, he sleeps and eats well, and has accomplished a lot developmentally. He has been rolling over from tummy to back for quite awhile now and gets a little over halfway from back to tummy when he is feeling confident. He has started to giggle a little bit but doesn't quite crack up yet. He has made himself proud by being able to reach for and grab onto his toys.

Jackson still LOVES bath time. Sometimes we wonder if he plans his blow outs and spitting up to get another bath! :-) Jackson absolutely LOVES to be read to which makes his Daddy very proud. He has a fascination with lights and keeps himself busy on his play mat.

We keep saying we wish we had a dollar for every comment we get about Jack's hair. People seem to love his hair. As it grows it gets crazier and crazier. We love it.

Alright, enough bragging for now. We hope we haven't gone to overboard! We just love our little boy so much. He makes us laugh everyday and we are so thankful that he is here, healthy, and happy.

If you haven't had a chance to meet Jackson yet we sure hope you get to soon! We want him to know all of the people we love so much! :-)

Here are a few photos of Jack this last week.

Please Please Pray.

Friends and Family,

I have a prayer request to ask of you.

A dear family friend of ours, Connie Firestone, had a heart attack a few days ago and it is pretty serious. Connie was a youth volunteer in the youth group at the church I grew up in. She is also the church Secretary. She has 3 children, one of them a daughter who is my age, we played basketball together in High School and are good friends.

The last update I received, today, was that they ran tests to determine the level of brain activity and the results were not great. They were only able to measure a small level. The results of the test pretty much tell us that the chances of her recovering are small. I am a firm believer in the power of prayer and am not counting her out by any means. Anyone who knows Connie knows that she is one tough cookie.

For those of you who are the praying type, please pray for Connie and her family. There will be more tests run on Monday to see if there has been any improvement.

Thanks,

Anna
