Pumpkin Patch

Thursday Auntie Lacey visited and we all went to the Pumpkin patch. Kind of late, we know, but better late then never! It was a fun trip and good opportunity to take some fun fall photos! Jackson slept the whole time as you will see in the photos. We had a great time!

Jackson is dressed up as a Pirate today and looks adorable, I will post photos later. For now, here are a few of our photos from the pumpkin patch.

Bundled up and ready to sleep through the pumpkin patch

Poor Jackson has these two crazies for parents! ;-)

This photo would be adorable if you couldn't see me

Such a sweet smile

Last week we started to see some of Jackson's first real smiles. This weekend we were able to catch his sweet grin on camera. Here he is smiling at his Daddy. Such a sweetie pie!

Our handsome 3 week old...

Wednesday night at 10:03pm Jackson was officially 3 weeks old. We really can't believe 3 weeks have passed already yet we feel like Jackson has always been a part of our family. We are absolutely loving our time with our little boy, he is such a sweet little man.

The last 3 nights or so Jackson has slept between 6 and 8 hours before waking for a feeding which has been nice. I still wake up when I feel like he should be waking up to eat though. :-)
Every night around 10:00 or so Jackson is awake for about an hour and we have been laying in bed just talking to him, kissing him, etc. He gets really excited and moves his arms around like crazy, kicks his legs, and makes some of the greatest expressions. Marty has been peed on several times and I have only been peed on once. :-) Now that we have moved away from the sponge bath Jackson seems to enjoy his baths. We think he is starting to give us some real smiles too.

This week we made a few outings and Jackson doesn't seem to mind at all. Like most babies, he likes car rides so this makes traveling a bit easier on us. Tuesday we went to my cousins volleyball game and Jackson got to meet several people who had been very anxious to meet him. Wednesday Jackson and I made a trip to JEfferson where a few of my cousins and closest friends live. My cousin Shana took some photos of Jackson and I think they turned out wonderful, she is amazing! She also painted his name letters for his room that several people have commented on. :-)

Here are a few of the pictures my cousin took.

Crazy haired baby

As I was feeding my little Jack man this afternoon, I could not help myself... I had to do something ridiculous to his hair... Here is the result. :-)

2 weeks old

Our sweet little man turned 2 weeks old yesterday. Time is already flying by way too fast! We had Jackson's 2 week check up today and he is a healthy 9lbs 13oz.
Jackson has been a great baby for us so far. He eats about every 3 hours and at night he usually wakes up for a feeding around 2:00am or 3:00am then will often sleep from that feeding until 8:30am or 9:00am. Last Saturday night he slept 8.5 hours which we gladly welcomed as we were very tired after being in a wedding!
We absolutely adore our baby boy and love watching his personality develop more and more each day. He is a very laid back little man and doesn't usually fuss unless he is hungry, tired, or needs to burp.

This past weekend, Marty and I were both in a wedding. Two of our best friends, Eric and Char, got married. Marty was the best man and I was a bridesmaid so Marty's mom came along to hold Jackson during the ceremony. He did great and slept through the whole ceremony. The last picture is from the wedding reception.

After Jackson's 2 week check up today we went to meet Jackson's new buddy, Reid Michael Lail who is the BEAUTIFUL son of our friends Cody and Anna. Reid was born last night at 8:18pm and is such a handsome little man! (I was going to take a photo of the boys together but forgot my camera)

We hope you are all well and enjoying the fall! Here are some recent pictures... Enjoy!!
